The Touring Chocolatier is an artisanal chocolate and gift shoppe specializing in gourmet chocolates, experiences,  specialty chocolate “finds” and unique giftables. We set ourselves apart by bringing people together to educate them about chocolate and to enjoy fine chocolate, made right in our own production facility. Having toured various cacao-producing countries and developed relationships with bean-to-bar chocolate makers, The Touring Chocolatier shares our passion and knowledge with our clientele through tastings and hands-on chocolate-making classes.

Join us as we adventure into the craft chocolates from Hawaii!!

After exploring Oahu, Maui, Kauai & the Big Island, we've brought you our favorite chocolates from tree-to-bar chocolate makers in the Hawaiian Islands!

You'll experience the following:

  • Manoa Chocolate (Oahu) - Kohana Rum, Lilikoi (Passion Fruit)
  • Ku'ia Chocolate (Maui) - OMG (Orange, Mango, Guava), Yuzu Coffee
  • Lonohana/Onomea (Oahu) - Passion Orange Guava, Salted Macadamia Nut
  • Honokaa Chocolate (Big Island) - Goat Milk, 70% Dark
  • Island Sharks Chocolate (Big Island) - Hibiscus Coconut, Vegan White Chocolate, Rum Bar
  • ...and possibly more!!

Each guest will also go home with a complimentary bar of the Ku'ia Coffee Chocolate.

*$35.00 donation per Guest (payable at the door)

There will be wine to taste, a wine pull & silent auction. The Touring Chocolatier will be there will unique chocolates from the shoppe for tasting AND purchasing - a % of all chocolate sales will go back to the Carrollton Lions Club to benefit their charitable works.

So come hungry (and thirsty), and with an open heart (and wallet) to help those in need!

6:45 pm: Truffle-making Class

Join us for a hands-on truffle-making class. You'll enjoy chocolate education, a chocolate tasting, and then get to roll, dip & decorate a dozen of your very own truffles (2-3 flavors) to take home. You'll take home basic recipes & tempering information. You're welcome to bring your own (alcoholic) beverages.

We need 10 participants for the class. (If we don't reach 10 participants, we will reschedule the class.) Min. age for participation: 13. Registration closes 72 hrs. prior to class time.

“The Fine Print:” Due to the nature of the prep work involved for each person’s class, NO REFUNDS are available. If you cannot attend the class you originally registered for, the registration IS transferable to another person. (Please notify me as far ahead of time as possible that someone will be taking your place.)  OR you can have another person attending the class make your truffles for you & take them to you.

THERE IS ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT FOR THIS CLASS!  ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING. PLEASE CALL ME DIRECTLY at 952-221-2440 to REGISTER YOUR CHILD(REN). REGISTRATION CLOSES MONDAY 3/13 at 5:00p in order for us to have enough time to prepare. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Kids' ages 9+ are invited to join us to make chocolate-y treats for St. Patrick's Day!

Class session is 1-hour. If your child has FOOD ALLERGIES or SENSITIVITIES of ANY KIND, this class is NOT for them. (Sorry. We use gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, and other food allergens in our facility.)

All participants MUST wear long pants AND closed-toed shoes. NO EXCEPTIONS. They will be wearing hair nets, aprons & food handlers gloves throughout the class. (Parents are asked to leave their children after initial instructions are given...we find children behave better without parents in attendance.)

Class must be paid for in advance & no refunds are available once registered. (You MAY transfer to another child if an emergency arises.) CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 8. REGISTRATION CLOSES 72 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS TIME.

He'll be cooking up the mudbugs & serving them up starting at 11a. Come hungry!

The Touring Chocolatier shoppe will be OPEN & ready to serve y'all some yummy chocolates for dessert, too, so be sure to save some $$ for us, too!!  (Of course, our shoppe is open 10a-5p, so y'all can come & eat dessert first, too!!)
